My mom got me this amaryllis for Christmas and it’s just now blooming. When the sunlight hits it in the afternoons the petals are almost translucent. If I’d been more motivated I would have gotten out my macro lenses to get close-ups of the texture of the flower but I think the pictures I did get turned out quite nice.
